Get your Wi-Fi on in the Queen City

Have you ever been walking through uptown wanting to check your email, or cruising up near University City lost and needing to check out Google Maps for directions? Most of us have had this problem, and now there is a solution. Go check out JiWire; they have some really sweet-looking maps and one of the largest collection of Wi-Fi hotspots out there. No longer do you have to worry about finding Wi-Fi in the Queen City.
JiWire is good, but I prefer http://www.wigle.net for wi-fi maps. I use http://www.netstumbler.com to find wi-fi access. It is a great little free utility.
hotspotr.com has a “wiki-like” geodatabase of wi-fi hotspots too, which users can update, rate, comment on. Its based on GoogleMaps API. link http://hotspotr.com/wifi/map/56-charlotte-nc
