What do you want to see at the DNC’s speedway party in September?

With a shortened 3-day convention, it’s anyone’s guess what the preceding public festival at Charlotte Motor Speedway will actually look like.
The DNC wants this event to be a time for locals and visitors alike to experience our region from a fresh perspective.
It will be free, it will be big and it will showcase Charlotte, North Carolina and the entire South.
Other than that, everything is on the table.
So far there are a lot of ideas, but nothing yet is set in stone.
Could Barack Obama race the Republican nominee around track at the Charlotte Motor Speedway?
That’s one of the suggestions the Charlotte in 2012 Host Committee has heard for the party at the speedway the day before the Democratic National Convention. (…)
One reason they may be struggling is the sheer number of possibilities. We are talking about the speedway here: Four tracks, including the main 1.5-mile oval, the luxury Speedway Club and “the planet’s largest” HDTV screen, at 16,000 square feet.
