date: Sun, May 17
time: 7pm
where: cltblog.com/live

We’ll streaming live with Democratic Mayoral candidate Anthony Foxx this coming Sunday, May 17th, at 7pm. The broadcast will take place over on CLT Blog Live.

What questions should we ask him? You can submit and vote on questions here. We’ll ask whatever the highest ranked (and appropriate) questions are as decided by the end of the week.

In addition, we’ll open the very end of the stream up for impromptu questions from the Twitter community. So if any questions are raised during the discussion, or if yours never gets asked, there will be an opportunity to find answers.

This is the first such event in this format for us, of which we hope to do many more in the future. Please join us online this Sunday!

I would love to read an article from you about how you are setting this up. Great idea. Are you using Ustream?

I attended the Charlotte City Council meeting last night and witnessed exactly what Mr. Foxx stands for: He is a Big Government, Big Spending, and Big Taxing Socialist!!! I watched in dismay as to how Mr. Foxx and his other Socialist Thugs on the council debated how they could take money from the sale of a property to Little Rock AME Zion Church and use it for the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts & Culture after being told by the city attorney that the money specifically by law must go to affordable housing or something along those lines and that it would be illegal to use the money for the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts & Culture. Well wouldn’t you know these shady unethical council members like Mr. Foxx found a loophole where they could transfer the money into an approved fund and then turn around and take the money back out of the fund to then give to the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts & Culture. We’re talking about $590,000! Don’t they call that money laundering? Shouldn’t that money be used for more important things like additional police, housing for the homeless, or find a way to use it for retaining the teachers CMS is going to have to eventually lay off? But instead of voting this down and taking a stand for what is right and lawful, Mr. Foxx and the others voted to refer it for further review. And we know what that means! Don’t we?
And then there was a motion for the ability of the council to impose a citywide 1/2 cent sales tax increase for transportation, in the middle of one of the worst recessions in the history of this country. But sadly it passed. All Democrats including Mr. Foxx and our own “RINO” on the council John Lassiter voted in favor of this measure. And their defense was that it just gives them the ability to bring it to the people for a vote and was not seeking an additional increase at present time. Now let me ask you, how often does government put a tool in their toolbox only to never use it? How about NEVER!!!
I do want to thank Warren Cooksey, Andy Dulin, Edwin Peacock, & Mayor McCrory for taking a stand for true Republicism and against the “money laundering scheme” and the tax increase.
So Charlotte if you want more Big Government, Higher Taxes, and more Ridiculous Spending; Mr. Anthony Foxx is your guy. Or maybe you choose our very own liberal Republican John Lassiter; you’ll receive the same from him too. Can’t we find someone who will Reduce Government Size, Reduced Spending, and Lower Taxes? Is there anyone who will truly go to work on the behalf of the great citizens of Charlotte?

Greg, you should put your thoughts in the form of some questions we can ask Foxx on Sunday. We’re taking questions here:

I know this was done as a live stream, but is there an archived video of it somewhere that I can watch?
