Recap: Pecha Kucha Charlotte, Vol. 3

Pecha Kucha Charlotte, Vol. 3, was last Thursday in Rock Hill. It was a fun time, as always, with cool people and interesting ideas. You can follow Pecha Kucha on Twitter: @pechakuchanight. Stay tuned for updates on the next Pecha Kucha over at the Point 8 Forum.

The video above is our highlights reel. Near the very end is every single slide (220 or so) compressed into 20 seconds, definitely worth watching if you feel like drinking from the fire hose.

We’ve also got the entire event on video, with the presenters tagged in the timeline for quick skipping around, and the slideshows displayed right beside. You can watch this video over on its own page. The lighting was pretty dim during the presentations, so the video quality isn’t anything special. But it’s fun to watch or at least listen to, especially with the slides to go along.

The music used in these videos is that of Charlotte’s own Marley Carroll (@melanaster on Twitter), DJ for local group Mr. Invisible (@MrInvisible). The track is called “Fying Nomura Theme parts 1 and 2″ from his solo album, Melanaster, which you can download on his website for free.

I’m embedding Mitchell Kearney’s awesome photos of the event at the end of this post.
