Charlotte’s startup scene gets props on Portfolio.com

Portfolio.com’s Michael del Castillo called me yesterday for a followup on the Yap/Amazon acquisition story, and I tried to squeeze in as much love for Charlotte’s startup/tech scene as possible. Fortunately, a little of that made the cut:
“For me, the biggest part of the story is Charlotte’s rapidly growing startup community,” Ruckman said in a phone interview. “There’s an atmosphere here that VCs don’t want to invest here, even though so many of them live here. And this is exactly the kind of success story we’re looking for.”
Congrats again on the huge scoop! It was great to see Charlotte getting attention as part of this acquisition.
