Calling all architecture and design nerds!
The Bechtler is running a cool series of architecture films through June 2012. This series is developed in conjunction with the Charlotte chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and the first event last month drew over 200 people.
Tickets are $15 per event, which you can buy online, and include light hors d’oeuvres, a drink ticket, and access to Bechtler galleries until 9pm.
Upcoming events:
October 21 — Infinite Space: The Architecture of John Lautner, a documentary chronicling the life and work of the esteemed California architect
November 18 — Havana: The New Art of Making Ruins, a portrait of the crumbling yet beautiful buildings of Havana, and the people who inhabit them
December 16 — Koolhaas Houselife, a documentary account of the Maison à Bordeaux by Rem Koolhaas, a house with automated and movable walls and floors
