Upcoming: Mint after 5

Time: 6-9pm
If you’re a member of the Mint Museum, or even if not, definitely take time this Friday for Mint After 5. Seems like a cool chance to unwind and enjoy a great view of the Queen City from their rooftop party. John Briggs is playing guitar and there will be a cash bar.
Admission for Mint Museum members is free; non-members pay $15.
Some of us from CLT Blog will be there. Come by and hang out if you can. We’ll have pictures and video after the event as always.

I approve of any function that allows people to drink and look at art, but would you clarify the term “open cash bar”? As someone who enjoy raising their BAC on a regular basis, I’ve become well versed in drinking terminology, but “open cash bar” seems to cancel itself out. An open bar is where the drinks flow gratis, and the only cash you need is to tip the bartender (you do tip the bartender.) A cash bar is exactly that — you pay for your drinks. You can always tell the if the bride’s parents are cheapskates or teetotalers if there’s an open bar or a cash bar at a wedding.
I wish that I could make this event! Look forward to the photos/video. Is this an annual event or is it more regular than once a year?
Oooops Christian that was definitely a typo oops. From what I read it was a cash bar.
