Breaking: light rail track damaged in silo demolition accident

“CHARLOTTE — An 80-silo collapsed in the 100 block of Remount Road in south Charlotte, covering the light rail line in the area and shutting down the service in both directions.”

Looks like the track was bent, but it has already been fixed. They don’t expect the light rail to be back up until tomorrow at the earliest.

    Looks like a mess but I’m sure it will be taken care of very quickly.
